Because we are two...PART two

Hey, I'm Nickeda, the other half of The Natural Sophisticant. I'm a proud Mississippi Southern Belle and a devout Christian! By trade, I'm a licensed professional counselor(LPC) and counselor educator.  By love, I'm a natural hair and healthy lifestyle enthusiast! Through my natural hair and lifestyle studies, I've fallen in love with natural hair and living a healthy lifestyle! I enjoy running, reading, creating, and cooking. Everything I've learned, thus far, has endeared and engulfed me more and more everyday! Some days, the journey is not easy; this hair of mine can be fussy and I just want to eat whatever!! But, I still love it and continue to press on! Sharing, caring, educating, and empowering others are my goals. It is my hope to do this through the many avenues provided in this journey.

Lastly, I own and operate a sweet online boutique, Nicke Street Boutique( nickestreet.com) and serve as an Independent Distributor for It Works Global (naturalwrapper.myitworks.com). Along with my family and friends, these are my other passions! XoXo - Nickeda

Because we are two...Part ONE

I am LeKreshia, one half of the dynamic duo of the Natural Sophisticant, the mother of two wonderfully energetic little boys, and a very recent breast cancer survivor. My journey into the natural abyss simply happened about 5 years ago. I did the big chop, which no one seemed to really understand besides my girl Nickeda (the other awesome half of the Natural Sophisticant), and I began to mix things here and there for myself and friends. It eventually grew into Organically Yours, which is a natural hair and body product line. Needless to say, the natural journey took on a life of its very own and embedded itself into my life through research, healthy eating and living. Finding new ways to be a Natural Sophisticant has become one of my passions other than God, my children, attending college, and volunteering. When you love something, you make the time and try to involve your community. Beauty and health should be organically simple.

Mississippi Chic! - the Natural Sophisticant

We are the Natural Sophisticant....You might ask what that means and/or why it matters! Well, we are two Mississippi natural women with ambition, goals, dreams, and plans illuminated by our own  flavor of chic sophistication... And yes, women in the "Sip" have chic sophistication! We matter...because we are going to make a positive impact in the lives of others through various avenues. How will we make this impact? It has yet to be determined. But, duly noted that we've already begun... Formally known as, Curls, Kinks, & Drinks Crew, we started providing natural hair events in North Mississippi in 2014. These events were warmly received and greatly attended. As we continue to grow, we will provide more events, more information, and more support for those who are interested! This blog is the evolution of what we started in July 2014! The Natural Sophisticant has hit the ground running in 2015! We have several ideas brewing and plans in action!
